How Arenal Beds handles contact inquiries, website analytics and cookies.
This notice explains how Arenal Beds handles information through arenalbeds.com and direct inquiries about our accommodation in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@arenalbeds.com or call +506 8475 3719.
Our Contact Us form uses WPForms and asks for your name, telephone number, email address and message. You may also choose to share travel dates, guest numbers, accommodation preferences or other details needed to answer your inquiry.
We use this information to respond, check availability, prepare quotes, coordinate requested services and manage reservations. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails. Please do not include payment-card details, passwords, passport copies or sensitive health information in the form.
Form notifications are sent to hello@arenalbeds.com through our email services. Incoming messages are also forwarded to our business Gmail inbox so our team can respond. Messages and related correspondence may therefore be held in our Hostinger and Google email systems and their backups.
We use hosting, email, website and security providers to operate the site. They may process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser details, timestamps and security logs, as part of delivering and protecting their services. Access to inquiries is intended for people handling your request and the providers needed to deliver the service.
If you ask us to arrange a tour or transfer, we may share the information necessary for that request with the relevant provider. We do not sell your contact details. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website usage and improve the site. It can collect page views, referral information, interactions, approximate location, device and browser information, and identifiers used to distinguish visits. These statistics are not the same as the content of your contact message; our Analytics integration does not intentionally send form names, email addresses, telephone numbers or message text to Google Analytics.
The site’s Google tag is configured with Google Signals and advertising personalization signals disabled. Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses, although IP addresses are processed to derive location information. Analytics data should not be understood as entirely anonymous simply because names are not included.
Google Analytics is blocked until you choose Accept analytics in our cookie banner. After acceptance, it loads asynchronously after the main page load. Reject analytics keeps it off. You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Withdrawing acceptance disables Analytics and removes its first-party cookies from this site; information already collected is not automatically deleted.

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar browser storage may also be used to remember settings or support embedded services.
_ga helps distinguish visitors. _ga_<identifier> helps maintain session state. Google documents a default lifetime of up to two years for these cookies; expiry may be renewed on subsequent visits and browser restrictions or configuration can shorten their lifetime.
WordPress, forms, hosting and security features may use cookies or similar technologies where needed for a feature you use, such as a login session, remembering settings or spam protection. Not every visitor receives the same cookies.
Our reviews sections use an Elfsight widget. When the widget loads, your browser connects to Elfsight, which may process your IP address, browser information and use cookies or similar storage under its own policies. On the home page, loading is delayed until you approach the reviews section; this delay is not a consent control. See Elfsight’s Privacy Policy.
Our banner offers Accept analytics and Reject analytics with equal access. We remember your choice in this browser’s local storage for 180 days. If storage is unavailable, the choice may last only for the current page. Cookie settings in the footer lets you change it. This control applies to Google Analytics, not to the separate Elfsight reviews service. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect certain website features. Clearing cookies removes stored identifiers but does not by itself prevent them from being created again on a later visit.
Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported desktop browsers. Its protection is specific to the browser where it is installed and does not block all third-party services. You can contact us directly by telephone or email if you prefer not to use the form.
We keep information for the time reasonably needed to handle inquiries, manage bookings, maintain required business records and resolve disputes. Retention depends on the information and the purpose; this website does not promise a single automatic deletion period for all messages, backups or records. Cookie lifetimes are separate from the retention of information already sent to a provider.
Our service providers may process information outside Costa Rica. Their locations, security practices and contractual terms govern that processing alongside applicable data-protection requirements. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
You may contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to raise an objection or ask about other rights available under applicable law. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations or ongoing claims. Please provide only the information needed to identify your inquiry or reservation; do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are necessary and arrange a suitable way to receive them. You may also raise concerns with the relevant data-protection authority.
Links to booking platforms, tour operators, restaurants and other websites lead to services governed by their own privacy notices. This notice does not replace those notices.
The website and its inquiry form are intended for adults arranging travel. Please avoid submitting children’s personal details unless necessary for a requested booking. Contact us if you believe unnecessary information about a child has been submitted.
We may update this notice to reflect changes to the website or our practices. The date below identifies the latest version.
