Clear terms for direct bookings at Arenal Beds in La Fortuna, Costa Rica.
This standard policy applies to direct bookings for Standard Rooms and the Vacation Home at Arenal Beds. An availability inquiry does not hold accommodation. A booking is confirmed once the required payment is received and we send written confirmation.
Your confirmation will specify your dates, accommodation, guest count, total price, payment deadlines and cancellation deadline. Any special rate conditions must be disclosed and accepted before payment. Later website changes do not alter an existing confirmed reservation.
Full payment (100% of the total accommodation price) is required when booking to confirm your reservation. No accommodation balance remains due at check-in once this payment is verified.
We will provide the available payment methods and payment deadline with your quote. Please do not send card details by email or WhatsApp. Taxes and any mandatory charges will be disclosed in the total before you pay. If payment is overdue, we will contact you with a final deadline before releasing the accommodation.
Cancel at least 168 hours before the scheduled 3:00 p.m. check-in time for a full refund of accommodation payments received.
Cancellations received less than 168 hours before check-in incur a charge of 100% of the confirmed accommodation price. Payments received are applied to that amount and are not refundable, subject to applicable law.
All deadlines use Costa Rica local time (UTC−6). For example, a Friday arrival at 3:00 p.m. has a free-cancellation deadline of 3:00 p.m. on the previous Friday. The exact deadline will be stated in your confirmation.
Email hello@arenalbeds.com with the booking name, reservation reference and arrival date. The time we receive your request determines the applicable deadline; our reply time does not affect your eligibility. Keep a copy of your request and contact us if you have not received an acknowledgment.
Date changes, accommodation changes and reductions in the number of nights are subject to availability and current prices. Before the free-cancellation deadline, there is no change fee, although a rate difference may apply. After that deadline, the cancellation terms apply to canceled nights unless we agree to an exception in writing. A date change does not automatically restore a free-cancellation period.
If you do not arrive and have not arranged a late arrival with us, the reservation is treated as a no-show and the full accommodation price is payable. Contact us promptly if your travel is delayed so we can confirm arrival arrangements.
Late arrival and early departure do not normally qualify for a refund for unused nights under the standard rate. Exceptions may be agreed in writing or required by applicable law.

Please share your expected arrival time in advance. Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability and may carry a charge, which we will confirm before you agree. A valid identification document is required at check-in. Guest numbers must match the confirmed reservation and the capacity agreed for the accommodation.
Eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible. We aim to initiate approved refunds within 10 business days; your bank or payment provider may take additional time to credit them. Arenal Beds does not deduct a cancellation fee from a cancellation made within the free-cancellation period. Your bank’s currency conversion may affect the amount received in your home currency.
If Arenal Beds cannot provide your confirmed accommodation, we will offer an alternative for your approval or refund the affected accommodation payments in full. For serious disruptions, official restrictions or exceptional circumstances, contact us as soon as possible so we can review the situation and any applicable rights. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights.
For bookings made through Airbnb, Booking.com or another platform, the payment, change and cancellation terms shown and accepted on that platform apply. Manage those requests through the original booking channel.
Tours, shuttles and private transfers are separate services with their own provider terms. Canceling accommodation does not automatically cancel or refund an activity or transport reservation.
This page describes our Standard Rate. Any future flexible or promotional rate will display its own price and conditions before booking. No flexible-rate upgrade is included unless it is expressly stated in your confirmation.
